STEAMER CLAMS FROM PEI
 
Seacore will be featuring an east coast favourite Steamer Clams next week.  Wild caught in PEI, the Steamer Clams also known as Soft Shell Clams are a seasonal delicacy that runs from May to October.  This wild fishery, uses the traditional hand digging method to harvest the clams.  They range 16 to 18 clams per pound and are an affordable choice.  A summer tradition from PEI to Boston, the Steamer Clams can of course be steamed in shell, shucked and added to stews or a real east coast chowder or even baked/fried to make a real nice treat.  A great seasonal addition to any menu or seafood counter, try them today!

KING BARRA BARRAMUNDI FROM THE RED SEA
 
Seacore will also be featuring a delicacy from the middle east, King Barra Barramundi.  This fresh Barramundi is farmed raised in pristine conditions in the Red Sea in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Quickly becoming a favourite in many white table cloth restaurants, the King Barra if farmed in a way to make the taste as clean and pure as possible. Farmed in extremely low density pens, only 2% fish to 98% water ratio, the King Barra farm is 100% vertically integrated form farming the eggs on site with 100% traceability.  The open sea aquaculture is BAP Certified (Best Aquaculture Practices) and is located 4 to 8 kilometres from the sea shore.  The King Barra are raised without the use of GMO, antibiotics and hormones yielding a mild flavour, flaky white fish.  Try the King Barra today!
